Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, EA's upcoming MMORPG, is now available for pre-order on Direct2Drive, IGN's digital download service. While the game itself is set to launch in September, EA is offering a number of bonuses to those who pre-order the game now. Besides, there is also an interesting mmorpg game called world of warcraft (WoW). And wow gold is the most valuable form of currency in WoW.
Some 3-day-old news about a cross-territory VW. On 7th January, Square Enix announced that its PlayOnline service (ie. basically Final Fantasy XI Online) hit 500,000 registered users in North America and Japan combined. Final Fantasy XI now has an online population of "nearly a million" characters. How much bigger that's going to get when hordes of PS2 users come on stream in March is anyone's guess. It would be interesting to discover what proportion of these 500,000 users are based in Japan and the USA respectively. Final Fantasy XI was Gamespy's PC MMORPG of the year 2003.

If you are a great fan of racing games then you certainly know of the many racing games available on the web, there is just one problem with these racing games, most of them are monotonous and take you nowhere fast. The goal of some of these games is to compete against other cars (which I'm pretty sure you are used to) others will set obstacles and throw them at you faster and faster according to the level you are on and others will just reward you for taking down those obstacles.
As the gamer sociomeister, are you generous with the handouts, or do you withhold the handouts until some young man breaks away, steals a car, tries to run, and don’t get far? What’s the informational value of those two sociochoices? Which tells you more about the sociosystem and the sociomeisters who administer the sociovalues? Supra-game activities denigrate the game and its players. They are, at root, anti-egalitarian. In general, they operate on the assumption that the game – or some part of the game --isn’t worth playing. And, sometimes, of course, it isn’t. No doubt, some games deserve denigration. But, again, that decision of denigration is best made by the players themselves rather than by their bfs or their gfs or their parole officers. Thanks for the links. I ended up writing a rather long response to your comment at VERN.
Square-Enix's long-in-development, long-in-translation FFXI enables North American players to connect online with Japanese players and with players on both the PC and PS2. FFXI for Windows includes The Rise of Zilart expansion pack (as well as other applications, such as Tetra Master) on five CDs and will sell for a MSRP of $49.99. Here is also a very interesting mmorpg game called Final Fantasy XI.

Stephen Totilo from MTV Multiplayer writes: "Homage? Inspiration? Or a case of Grand Theft 'Shadow'? In The propaganda war I capitalized on an excellent Eve-Online tale told by Endie. Storytelling with an agenda - or "propaganda" - was suggested as one tool used by Eve-Online alliances to assist players with the big picture: One has to love it when an astute observer of the Eve-Online alliance game likens a maneuver conducted over the last couple of months (with thousands of players) to the Schlieffen Plan... Which brings me to this interesting question: if you were a player how would you ever know were it not for such... propagandists? How would the foot soldiers in a large-scale information-complex distributed game spanning the real world globe and twenty-four time zones have any clue how their system-by-system struggle fits into the big picture, were it not for, well, something like an Eve-Online alliance propaganda network?
